Text
Flavius Josephus was a Jewish historian who lived approximately from 37 to 100 CE. He published Jewish Antiquities around 93/94 CE. [1]
In Book 1, chapter 13, he retells Abraham’s test, adding Isaac’s age of twenty-five, his dialogue and his assent to the Genesis account. This is a first-century retelling of an older story; by itself it does not show that all these details belonged to the earliest version. [2]
