Text
In the Greek Testament of SolomonTestament of SolomonA Greek pseudepigraphal text about Solomon commanding spirits and building the Temple, preserved in different forms.Glossary · Click to read the explanation, Ornias harms a boy working on the Temple and takes part of his food and wages. Solomon prays; in the story a ring is given to the boy to bring the spirit before the king. Questioned about its name, the spirit answers that it is Ornias. [1]
The king orders Ornias to help cut building stone and later to summon the ruler of spirits. This figure belongs to a pseudepigraphal book preserved in a composite, much later form; its appearance is not independent evidence for an episode in the historical Solomon's lifetime. [1]
