Text

Job 7:9–10 connects Sheol with not returning home. In Genesis 37:35 Jacob anticipates descending while mourning Joseph, without a verdict condemning Jacob. Meaning depends on context; one verse does not define every view of death. The image is a modern textual diagram of these passages, not an afterlife map. [5][6]
