Text

Confessions VII.1 recalls rejecting human shape while retaining spatial extension. In VII.9, books of the Platonists assist his rethinking. [1]

He retains differences concerning incarnation; using concepts does not imply identity with their authors. The diagram presents a textual position, not a portrait.
