Text
Younus Y. Mirza is a scholar of Arabic and Islamic studies. He earned a doctorate at Georgetown University and researches the relationship between biblical and Qur'anic stories. [1]
In a 2013 article he examined how Ibn Taymiyya and Ibn Kathir supported identifying Ishmael as Abraham's intended sacrifice in Islamic interpretation. The publisher's abstract says their arguments also used biblical and linguistic material, beyond hadith. The archive's study consulted the abstract and opening page, not the whole article. [2]
