Text
Inena is an Egyptian scribe named in connection with D’Orbiney and other Ramesside literary manuscripts. The British Museum identifies him as scribe of EA10183, dated about 1215 BCE. [1]
A copyist’s identity and manuscript date help trace the surviving witness. They do not alone date every story element’s invention or oral circulation. The group’s original discovery context remains uncertain. [1][2]
