Text

anūtu uses AnuAn / AnuSumerian/Akkadian sky god; multifunctional AN alone cannot identify him in the earliest texts.Glossary · Click to read the explanation’s name to express high standing or supreme power, as ORACC explains when other gods are elevated. Assigning it alone does not prove identical deities or the end of Anu’s cult.[1]

The diagram concerns authority terms, not a dated throne succession. Meaning must remain tied to its textual use.
