Etymology and context

Gaḇrîʾēl has analyses involving man of God or divine strength. Name analysis supplies neither a former human biography nor an independent deity’s origin.[1]

Literary character

Daniel 8:16 commissions interpretation; Luke 1:19,26 presents birth announcements. Jibrīl is named in the Qurʾan, including 2:98. Roles require their own textual contexts rather than etymology alone.[2][3][4]

The image is a modern diagram, not a documented angel’s portrait.
