Text

Chapters20–21 describe a palm bending at the child’s command during the journey to Egypt, water from its roots, and a branch taken to paradise. [3]

Parts draw on the Protevangelium of James; the attributed title does not establish Matthew’s authorship. The image is a modern comparison diagram. [6]
