Text
About fourteen kilometres northeast of AşıklıAşıklı HöyükA Neolithic Cappadocian settlement with successive buildings and selected subfloor burials.Glossary · Click to read the explanation, the site is dated around 8300–7950 BCE in the 2025 report. The 2024 account reported 23 main-occupation burials; the 2025 account reported over 60 individuals. Each count must retain its excavation and publication context.[1][2]
Treatment includes subfloor and wall-niche burials, and three pigmented skulls near an early burial context. One better-preserved building has an entrance, revising earlier general claims about roof access. These finds do not identify one doctrine or prove ancestor worship. The drawing is modern, not an excavation plan.[1][2]
