Text

Leviticus 25 proclaims a fiftieth-year Jubilee with return of family land and certain impoverished Israelite servants. Walled-city houses and enslaved outsiders are treated differently. Unlike Deuteronomy 15, the chapter does not expressly cancel monetary loans; later interpreters joined the two texts in different ways. [4][5][8]
