Text

Exodus 2 presents Moses as a child of a Levite family, rescued by Pharaoh’s daughter and later becoming her son. The mother, sister and riverbank container are explicit narrative details. [1]

Al-Qasas 28:7–13 emphasizes inspiration to the mother, Pharaoh’s wife’s intervention and reunion with the mother. Comparison preserves each text’s identity; it does not alone settle historicity or transmission. [10]

The image is a witness to Sargon’s legend used for comparison, not a portrait of Moses or an artifact from his life.
